Can You Escape? in an app that will keep puzzle game fans very happy. The idea is simple and has been put together very well, which has lead to a very good app. At the beginning of every level you are placed in a room, with the doorway in front of you. Obviously the door is locked, now it's time to put your detective skills to the test. You have to look around the room, moving boxes, opening draws. On some levels you'll need tools, which can be found in draws or boxes etc. A particular favourite of the developer is that of colour pattern and number codes. These often open draws or locked chests that contain something crucial to finishing the level. Graphically the game looks good and game play is excellent.
4 Pics 1 Song carries on where 4 Pics 1 Word finished off, although this particular app is made by a different developer. You'll need to know your music well in order to complete these levels, all 41 of them, with more to be added by the developers in the near future. The concept is very simple, there are four pictures, each to be used as a clue for the name of the song. There are then boxes underneath where the letters will spell out the name of the song. It helps that there are a selection of letters to choose from, sometimes it can be a case of a process of elimination. Overall a great app that has a slight twist on the 4 Pics 1 Word app. Screenshots:
Flick Football is another great app brought to you by Neon Play, the people who brought you Paper Glider. The aim of the game is simple, or so you may think. You progress through the game by taking Free Kicks, each level gradually gets hard by the addition of defenders making up a wall. You receive a score out of 100 based on your shot, for higher score aim for the far corners. The game has three different modes to keep you occupied - firstly there's a tutorial, which helps you to get to grips with the game, secondly there's sudden death which requires you to take as many shots as possible, the aim being to collect points. Finally there's Beat The Clock, which is where you try and collect as many points as possible against the clock. There are also targets, which if you hit will add bonus time on for you to carry on playing.
Overall it's a great game, good graphics and very addictive. For £0.69 ($0.99) if definitely worth downloading, and it's a must have for football fans.
StringZ is one of those puzzle games that will have you spending hour after hour working your way through levels. The idea is very similar to that of Cut The Rope. However instead of cutting the rope, you have to position the string to help the character gather the stars on the way down. The more stars you pick up, the better your score. The graphics are great, bright and colourful. It's part of what makes this app so good. Naturally, as you work through the game you'll notice the levels get harder. It's made in a way that makes it fun and sometime difficult at the same time. Overall it's an excellent app and for puzzle game players it's a must have! There is a paid and free version available - although for £0.69 ($0.99) it's certainly worth the money! Screenshots:
